Water Utility Level & Flow Sensors for India — FAQ

Which level sensor is suitable for borewells and overhead service reservoirs?
A submersible hydrostatic level transmitter is the usual choice. It hangs on a vented cable below the lowest water level and outputs 4–20 mA proportional to the water column above it. Ranges run from 0–1 m to 0–100 m water column, so the same type covers deep borewells and shallow reservoirs.
Can a clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter be installed without shutting down the pipeline?
Yes. The transducers clamp onto the outside of the pipe, so there is no cutting, welding or shutdown. You need the pipe outside diameter, wall thickness and material, and a straight run of pipe before and after the measuring point.
How much does a clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter cost?
We do not publish prices. The quotation depends on pipe size range, fixed or portable model, output options, cable length and quantity. Send the pipe details and quantity, and we quote FOB China within 24 hours on working days.
What output do I need for SCADA or IoT telemetry?
Most RTUs read 4–20 mA analog inputs, which work over long cables. If your RTU or gateway has an RS485 port, Modbus RTU output lets several instruments share one bus and also carries totalised flow from the flow meter.
What is the minimum order and sample lead time?
The minimum order is one piece. Samples ship in 5–7 working days and production orders take 3–5 weeks. Payment is 100% T/T in advance, and the warranty is 12 months from delivery.
