Certification & Import Notes for India

  • Certification for India depends on the product category. BIS certification is not among the certifications we hold; check the BIS compulsory list for your category and tell us before ordering so we can discuss what documentation we can provide.
  • CE and RoHS documentation is supplied with orders; calibration and material certificates are available on request.
  • Confidentiality: we sign an NDA on request and do not publish your branded products.
Certifications we state site-wide: ISO 9001:2015, CE, RoHS and UKCA; ATEX/IECEx on selected hazardous-area models; UL on select models. Hazardous-area magnetostrictive models carry the SE prefix (SE-LX flameproof, SE-PR30 intrinsically safe); certificate details are provided with the quotation. Certificate copies on request.

How Ordering Works from India

SEGMENsensor is a sensor manufacturer in Shenzhen, China. We ship to India from our factory; we have no local office or warehouse in India. Your freight forwarder or customs broker arranges international transport and import clearance.

OEM & Private-Label Sensors for India — FAQ

What is your MOQ for private-label orders?
One piece. Branding, labels and packaging can be applied from the first sample, so you can test the market with small lots before committing to volume. Samples ship in 5–7 working days and production orders take 3–5 weeks.
Can you print our logo and supply our own datasheet?
Yes. We laser-mark or label the sensor with your logo, part number and serial, and prepare a datasheet in your layout based on our tested values. You approve the marking on the first sample before production.
Who handles BIS or other Indian certification if it is required?
It depends on the product category. BIS certification is not among the certifications we hold, so the importer or brand owner checks whether the product falls under compulsory certification. Tell us the requirement before ordering and we will confirm which test reports and documents we can supply.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is 100% T/T in advance before production or shipment, for samples and production orders alike. Quotations are FOB China; international freight and import duties or taxes are not included.
How do I get samples to India?
We ship samples from Shenzhen once payment is received, usually by international express booked by us or by your forwarder. Freight, duty and GST are paid by the buyer. Samples are ready in 5–7 working days.
Do you keep our designs and branding confidential?
Yes. We sign an NDA on request, keep your branded artwork for your orders only and do not show your products on our website or to other customers.
