Temperature ratings
Pick the rating from your highest process temperature
- Find the highest ambient temperature at the sensor, then choose T120, T150 or T180. For cold areas, choose L30 or L40.
- Choose the housing. M12 to M30 models have an adjustable sensing distance, so you can set it for your target material.
- Choose NPN or PNP output and normally open, normally closed or both.

What can a capacitive proximity sensor detect?
Metal and non-metal targets, for example plastics, glass, liquids and bulk materials. This makes it useful for level and presence detection where an inductive sensor cannot see the target.
How hot can the HT capacitive sensors run?
Up to +180 °C ambient with T180 models. T120 and T150 models are rated to +120 °C and +150 °C.
Which models work in the cold?
L30 models operate from -30 °C and L40 models from -40 °C, both up to +70 °C.
How do I set the sensing distance?
M12 to M30 models have an adjustable sensing distance. Set it for your target material, since the switching point depends on the material.
Are the sensors CE and RoHS compliant?
Yes. The HT capacitive series carries CE and RoHS documentation. It is available on request with your quote.
Are NO+NC versions available?
Yes, M18 and M30 models are available with both a normally open and a normally closed output.
