SE-LX probe temperature is -40 to +85 °C (-40 to +250 °C high-temperature version); the SE-LX electronics head is rated -30 to +85 °C, so outdoor heads need a heated enclosure in Alberta winters.

Certification & Import Notes for Canada

  • Hazardous locations in Canada require equipment certified to Canadian requirements (CSA or other accepted marks). CSA certification is not among the certifications we hold; our explosion-protected models are SE-LX (flameproof) and SE-PR30 (intrinsically safe), with certificate details provided with the quotation. Check acceptance with your authority having jurisdiction before ordering.
  • Pressure-retaining parts may need a Canadian Registration Number (CRN) depending on the product and province — confirm with ABSA in Alberta. CRN registration is not among the approvals we hold.
  • Duties, taxes and customs brokerage into Canada are arranged by your broker; quotations are FOB China.
Certifications we state site-wide: ISO 9001:2015, CE, RoHS and UKCA; ATEX/IECEx on selected hazardous-area models; UL on select models. Hazardous-area magnetostrictive models carry the SE prefix (SE-LX flameproof, SE-PR30 intrinsically safe); certificate details are provided with the quotation. Certificate copies on request.

Oil Sands Level & Pressure Sensors — FAQ

Are your transmitters CSA-certified for Class I, Division 2 locations?
No. CSA certification is not among the certifications we hold. Our explosion-protected models are the SE-LX series (flameproof) and SE-PR30 (intrinsically safe), with certificate details supplied with the quotation. Canadian hazardous locations require equipment accepted by your authority having jurisdiction, so please confirm acceptance before ordering; for non-hazardous areas the standard models apply.
Do pressure transmitters need a CRN in Alberta?
It depends on the product category and provincial rules, so please confirm with ABSA. CRN registration is not among the approvals we hold. Tell us if your project requires it and we will advise honestly whether we can support that item.
Can your sensors operate at -40 °C?
The SE-LX probe is rated -40 to +85 °C and the SGM-PR10 and SGM-LS10 operate from -40 to +85 °C. The SE-LX electronics head is rated -30 to +85 °C, so outdoor installations in Alberta winters should use a heated or insulated enclosure.
Can one transmitter measure both oil level and oil–water interface?
Yes. The SE-LX series can be supplied with two floats: one sized to float on oil for total level and one sized to sit at the oil–water interface. Send the densities of both liquids so the floats can be selected.
What are the order and shipping terms to Canada?
The MOQ is one piece. Samples ship in 5–7 working days and production takes 3–5 weeks. Payment is 100% T/T in advance. Quotations are FOB China; international freight, duties and taxes are arranged by your customs broker. The warranty is 12 months from delivery.
