U12 Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Meter: Setup Menu Step by Step
Send your pipe OD and wall thickness — our engineers reply with the transducer spacing and the recommended model.
A 63-second walkthrough of the U12 clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter setup menu: enter the pipe outer diameter and wall thickness, choose the liquid and mounting method, read the calculated transducer spacing, set damping, check signal strength on the Status page and set zero and the low-flow cut-off.
Chapters
Key points
- Pipe Settings: outer diameter and wall thickness of the real pipe (the demo uses 16 mm and 1.1 mm).
- The meter calculates the transducer spacing from the pipe data, liquid and mounting method.
- Status page: upstream and downstream signal strength, signal quality and measured sound speed.
- Zero Settings: zero point and low-flow cut-off.
- U12 fits DN15–DN65 pipes; outputs include 4–20 mA and RS485 Modbus.

The U12 setup menu, step by step.
Under Pipe Settings, enter the pipe outer diameter and the wall thickness. Here, 16 mm and 1.1 mm.
Next, select the liquid. Here, it is water.
Then choose the transducer mounting method.
The meter calculates the transducer spacing.
Damping smooths the displayed reading.
The Status page shows upstream and downstream signal strength, signal quality and the measured sound speed.
Zero Settings sets the zero point and the low-flow cut-off.
