U10 Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Meter
The SEGMENsensor U10 is a wall-mount, transit-time clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter for full pipes of water or another clean liquid. It measures from outside the pipe with ±1% accuracy on DN25–DN1200, or DN15–DN40 with small-pipe transducers, and ships from our factory within 2 weeks of payment.

Which transducer do I need?
Choose A2 for DN25–DN1200 up to +80 °C, H1A for hotter liquid up to +130 °C, and B1 or B1H for small pipes DN15–DN40. Every configuration is the U10 transmitter with one pair of transducers; options and extra cable are added on top.

- Transducer cable: 9 m standard (B1 / B1H small-pipe transducers: 5 m).
- Insertion transducers: tell us the pipe material so the mounting base matches it. Standard pressure rating 1.6 MPa.
How do I install the U10?
The U10 installs from outside the pipe in four steps, with no cutting and no shutdown. The diagrams come from the U10 user manual.
- Fix the bracket to the wall
The metal bracket has Ø6 mm holes at 100 mm centres. Slide the transmitter onto it and secure it with the screw under the cover.
- Choose a straight, full pipe
After a 90° bend, leave at least 10 pipe diameters upstream and 5 downstream. Valves and pumps need longer runs — see the manual.
- Strap on the transducers
Mount them at 3 or 9 o'clock on horizontal pipes, never at the top or bottom. V method is standard; Z method gives a stronger signal on large pipes.
- Enter the pipe data
Key in the pipe size, material and liquid. The meter shows the transducer spacing; set it and read the flow.

- Import duty, VAT or GST and any customs fees are not included in the price or the checkout total. You pay them as the importer in your country, and the rates differ by country.
- We help with customs clearance: the commercial invoice and packing list go with the shipment and by email, and our engineers answer customs questions about the product.

Frequently asked questions
Will the U10 work on my pipe?
The U10 measures full pipes carrying water or another single, clean liquid. It covers DN25–DN1200 with the A2 or H1A transducers and DN15–DN40 with B1 or B1H. If you are unsure, send us the pipe size, material, liquid and temperature and our engineers will reply by email within one working day.
What does the price include?
The price is per unit and includes the transmitter, one pair of transducers with cable, two 1.3 m pipe straps for pipes up to DN300, coupling compound, the user manual and a factory calibration report. UPS shipping is added at checkout. Import duty and tax are not included; you pay them in your country on import.
My pipe is larger than DN300. How many straps do I need?
The two pipe straps in the box are 1.3 m long and fit pipes up to DN300. Each transducer is held by one strap loop around the pipe, and the loop needs about 3.14 × the pipe outside diameter, plus a little to tighten. Extra straps are the same 1.3 m straps and join onto the standard ones, so every extra pair adds 1.3 m to both loops. Work out what your pipe needs and choose the number of extra pairs in step 1 of the configurator; they are charged per pair, and the price is shown before you pay. If your pipe is DN300 or smaller and you want spares, add spare pairs of 1.3 m straps under Options in step 3.
Do I pay import duty when the meter arrives?
Yes. Import duty, VAT or GST and any customs fees are paid by you as the importer, and the rates depend on your country. UPS or your customs broker will ask for payment before or at delivery. We send the commercial invoice and packing list with the shipment and by email, and help with customs questions about the product.
When will my order arrive?
We ship from our factory within 2 weeks of payment. UPS then usually takes 3–5 working days to deliver. The configurator shows an estimated delivery date before you pay.
Which outputs can I have?
Two of five outputs are wired at the factory: 4–20 mA, pulse, RS232 / RS485 Modbus, OCT or relay. You choose the two in the configurator, at no extra cost.
